UPDATE

Robbie is doing OK, I was gone for the week to art camp, it is really a class that my daughter and I took. Robbie was in good hands, my husband, son mother and my aunt were all here to take care of him. He went for a follow up on Monday the 21st, UGHHH he has an ulcer (bed sore) on his bottom. So now the goal is to get that to heal and to do so we have to rotate him on his side every two hours. He is not liking this very much. Oh yes and poor guy is now hooked to a little, anyway he has a external catheter (sp) which is not as bad as it sounds. But for a guy who can go on the potty, its not as nice. We go back on August 4th. I am putting a picture up for you all to see. He has such a great spirit.

I have been working on Scrapping. I have gotten about 8 layouts done. I am here in my living room with all my goodies set up so I can keep Robbie company. I still need to do my Save Gas challenge but I think that will be todays project. Along with finishing Beth's book for massage Therapy School.

My daughter and I work together. She is a teachers aide at my school. It can be a pain sometimes, but she and I enjoyed the week away and needless to say she went to bed early everynight while I stayed up with my friends. For being 21 She sure needs way more sleep than I did.

Oh yes and then there is my Baby, Well she is my other baby. Jules, She is my little black poodle, who I must say might have been the only one to miss me while I was away ( besides Robbie) I did some layouts with her. The white poodle in the picture is one of jules babies from her second litter. Hunny bun is her name. They both like to swim. Jules is such a cuddly baby, She likes to sleep with me and stands up to be picked up. Anyway, she likes to swim and hunny bun does too. So I scrapped them as well.

Ok I am rambling on. So I am going to post my layouts for you!

I am including two layouts with files From Lori McDonald over at Paperthreads. She is having a Christmas in July special right now.

Oh yes and I used on of Chris's first Challenge files, to use as journaling.

Ok bye for now will post more Pictures later. Nina

update on Robbie

Well, the surgery turned out to be 8 hours instead of four. UGHHH the waiting was killing me. Finally the surgeon came out and gave us the news. While she only had to do some muscle and tissue repair at this time, She is now very concerned about the curviture in his spine. She also told us that he was bleeding too much and that is why it took so much longer. We will now have to see a blood specialist to see if medication is making him bleed, or something else. We will also be consulting with a doctor who speciality is the spine. Robbie has lordosis (sp), as well as some other curviture issues. Anyway, One day at a time is how I have to take this.
He was brought home by Ambulance last night since is legs are braced at 32 inches apart. He is a real trooper, it took so long for them to figure out how they were going to get him in our house etc...
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. hugs Nina

Plugging away

Ok Here is one of my enteries for the Challenge that Chris is running over on her blog. http://www.visualdesignsbychris.blogspot.com/

My bluewishblade is still awaiting the new blade assembly. I have no patience. I want things like snap your fingers and they are fixed. The good thing about my cricut, I can run to the local store and get blades and new mats. YEAH!!!!

Oh yes, back to the file this one I did with the grass border file, Since I am off work in the summers (except for a week I spend at a college, for classes that integrate the arts into the classroom) I am always snapping pictures of the wild life in our yard. Except for Jules my beautiful Poodle, All the animals in this layout made a quick visit to the yard. The bunnies in the pictures do tend to come more often, and the woodchuck seems to have made a home under my neighbors shed. I want to get better pictures of him but can't always grab my camera in time. Hope you enjoy. Nina

Fish stories file

Hi all here is a layout that I just finished using the Fish stories file by Chris Durnan.

After going out to dinner Steve and I took Robbie to Petco to get some new fish for the pond. We tricked Beth and Taylor into thinking we also bought a turtle. I took a photo and when they ask where in the pond the turtle was. I was like hmmm he must be under the water. Ha ha. Robbie started cracking up so they knew then we were playing a joke on them. We did buy two black mystery snails, and yep where they are in the pond is a Mystery....

OH, also a big Thanks to Chris for offering SCAL files, cause I am waiting on a new blade holder from Michelle at Paperthreads. Have a great evening Nina

OHHH I Want to Cry

My wishblade is on the blink again. Darn it.... I just ordered blade assembly from Paperthreads. I called xyron.. ha not alot of help from them.
I do have my cricut and Sure cuts a lot to fall back on. Thank God, cause I am photographing a wedding this weekend and I was making a scrapbook as a gift for the bride..
Hope the rest of the week goes better. nina
